LADY TEUTONS STUMBLE AT REMINGTON

Lose 2-4 & 1-9

REMIINGTON  - After losing to Moundridge in the season opener, the Inman softball team rattled off 11 straight  wins until Tuesday when they ran into a buzzsaw of pitching at Remington and lost both ends of a doubleheader, 2-4 and 1-9.

In game one, the Lady Teutons only squeezed  out two hits and did not score until the top of the seventh in a 2-4 loss.

Ellie Thimmesch hit  for a triple and Marlee Ballard  had the  only other hit, with both players scoring the only runs of the game as well.

The struggle on offense and seven errors on defense  hurt a strong pitching performance by Lyla  Levin as she only gave up three hits, no earned runs and walked not one single batter while striking out seven.

In the second game, Remington dinked Lady Teuton pitcher Alexis Noone for four doubles and scored four runs in the first inning before adding one each in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to hand Inman the 1-9 loss.

The Lady Teutons did knockout seven hits, including a pair by Allison Schrag, but only developed them into a single run in the top of the seventh while the defense made five errors.

Now 11-3 for the season, the Lady Teutons will be back on the competitive diamond on Friday when they play host to Marion.
