LADY TEUTONS SHINE AT STERLING RELAYS

Schmidt Wins 2 Gold

STERLING – The Inman track/field teams ran, jumped, and threw at the Sterling Relays on Friday and returned home with six first-place finishes, all by the Lady Teutons.

Chloe Schmidt scored a pair of first-place medals for the Lady Teutons by taking first in both the discus and javelin while Brooklyn Black ran first in the 100-meter hurdles, Madelyn Heflin won the 300-meter hurdles and both the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams also took first.

The Lady Teutons also scored second-place medals in five events and third in four.

While the Teuton boys finished in the top five nine times over eight events, they did not earn a single first-place medal.

Malachi Brunk took second in the 110-meter hurdles and third in the 300-meter hurdles, and the 4x800 meter relay team ran second as well.
