MOUNDRIDGE – It was a solid battle of county rivals on Thursday at the Moundridge Early Season Tournament as the Inman girls tried but came up short in a loss to Moundridge 49-57.
After the Lady Teutons spotted a three-point, 11-14 advantage to the Lady Wildcats at the end of the first quarter, Inman chipped a point off by the halftime break and only trailed by two at 22-24.
Pulling within one point at 36-37 at the end of the third, the Lady Teutons stumbled a bit in the fourth and watch Moundridge push out to the final eight-point win over Inman.
Despite the loss, the Lady Teutons had three players hit for double digits in the scorebook led by Suttyn Harris and Morgan Froese with 16 each and Kenna Woods who scored ten.
The Lady Teutons, now 1-2, were scheduled to close out their play at the tournament on Friday with a game against Hillsboro before making plans to travel on Tuesday, December 12 to battle Kingman.
