MOUNDRIDGE – Going the short ride to cross county rival Moundridge the Inman track/field teams participated in the 11-team Moundridge Invitational where the Lady Teutons won the girls division by 97 points and scored top-four finishes in 15 events.
The Lady Teutons rolled up a whopping 193 points in the meet as they dominated the field events while still finding time to win three track events. Host Moundridge finished second in the team standings with 99 points.
Taylor Froese led the individual winners by taking first in both the discus and shot put while Allee Mannebach and Katie Nichols took first in the pole vault and high jump, respectively. On the track, Brooklyn Black won the 100-meter hurdles and Madilyn Heflin won the 300-meter hurdles to go along with a winning 4x800 meter relay team.
Many of the points scored by the Lady Teutons came from dominating an event as they finished first and second in the shot put, pole vault, and 100-meter hurdles plus the discus where they took first, second and third. Inman also finished second, third and fourth in the triple jump.
The Teuton boys finished sixth with 63 team points as Hutchinson Trinity won the team title with 81 and host Moundridge was second with 79.
