LADY TEUTONS DOMINATE HILLSBORO INVITATIONAL

Heflin, Froese, Schmidt Win 1st Place Medals

HILLSBORO – Last Friday, the Inman track/field teams traveled to Hillsboro for the 17-team James Thomas Invitational where the Inman girls scored a team championship, outscoring the  runne-up by 33 points.

 

Here is a summary of the Lady Teutons and Teuton boys:

 

INMAN TRACK/FIELD AT HILLSBORO – FRIDAY APRIL 26

LADY TEUTON RESULTS >

Team Standings (top ten) – 1. LADY TEUTONS – 98; 2. Smoky Valley – 65; 3. Larned – 60; 4. Berean Academy – 53; 5. Remington – 50; 6. Hesston – 48.5; 7. Moundridge – 48; 8. Hillsboro – 37; 9. Russell – 21; 10. Elyria Christian – 20; others – The Independent School, Bluestem, Nickerson, Lyons, Council Grove, Sedgwick.

 

While scoring 98 team points and winning the team championship by 33 points, the Lady Teutons also scored three first-place medals with Madilyn Heflin winning the 300 meter hurdles, Taylor Froese having the top throw in the discus and Chloe Schmidt winning the javelin.

Brooklyn Black finished second in the 100-meter hurdles and Schmidt had the second best throw in the shot put as well. The 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams each ran third.

Triple Jump > 3. Katie Nichols – 32’ 11.5”.

Discus > 1. Taylor Froese – 130’ 3”; 6. Chloe Schmidt – 119’ 6”.

Javelin > 1. Chloe Schmidt – 119’ 4”.

Shot Put > 2. Chloe Schmidt – 37’ 4”; 3. Taylor Froese – 36’ 7.5”; 6. Morgan Froese – 35’ 9”.

 

TETUON BOYS RESULTS >

The Teuton boys did not fare as well as the Lady Teutons, scoring just 18 team points with a second place finish by the 4x800 meter relay team the best for the day.
