Harris Scores 24 – M. Froese Records Double/Double

SEDGWICK – The Inman girls opened their play at the Steve Shepherd Tournament hosted by Sedgwick on Monday by beating the host team by 11, 66-55.

With the win, the Lady Teutons have won five games in a row and boosted their record to 6-3 as they prep to play the Wichita Defenders on Friday.

Sedgwick held a one-point, 13-14 lead at the end of the first quarter before the Lady Teutons poured 24 points in the scorebook in the second quarter to take a 14-point, 37-23 advantage into the  halftime break.

After Sedgwick pulled back to within five at 47-42 by the end of the third quarter thanks to going five-for-five on three-pointers. Inman pulled away a bit again in the final eight minutes of play to earn the final 11-point victory.

Suttyn Harris led all scorers with 24 points while grabbing six rebounds and stealing five.

Morgan Froese recorded a double double as she scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Kenna Woods came close to a double double with 11 points and eight rebounds.
