Feldman, Eck, Olander led Little River to win

GOESSEL – Meeting up at the Goessel Bluebird Classic on Tuesday, the Little River girls powered their way past an outnumbered, youthful Elyria Christian team for a 61-point, 76-15 win.

The Lady Redskins ran out to an 11-point, 17-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and then followed that up by putting 26 points on the board in the second quarter to just a pair of baskets for the Lady Eagles, giving Little River a commanding 33-point, 43-10 advantage at the halftime break.

Outscoring the youthful Lady Eagles 33-5 in the final two quarters the Lady Redskins played out for the final 61-point victory.

Arika Feldman and Alaina Eck were no match for the Lady Eagles as they led the Lady Redskins with 20 and 18 points respectively with Feldman just missing a double-double in pulling down eight rebounds while Eck led the team in steals by swiping seven.

Also just missing a double double was Aubrey Olander who scored 10 points while also grabbing eight rebounds. Ten Lady Redskins put a minimum of two points by their name in the scorebook with nine grabbing at least one rebound, and seven dished out at least a pair of assists and made at least one steal in the game.

The Lady Redskins will close out the week at the Goessel Bluebird Classic on Friday playing Canton/Galva and then on Saturday when they tangle with Hanover.
