Eck Scores 32 for Little River

MOUNDRIDGE – On Tuesday, the Little River girls proved again why they are ranked number one in Class 1A Division I as they went on the road to Moundridge and took control in the second quarter and powered their way to winning by 18, 66-48.

Moundridge played even up basketball in the first quarter with a 16-16 tie before the Lady Redskins powered their way to scoring 24 points in the second quarter while holding the host tam to just six points, giving the Little River girls a commanding 18-point, 40-22 advantage going into the halftime break.

In the second half, Moundridge outscored Little River by three in the third and played to within three in the fourth, enough to give the Lady Redskins their final 18-point victory.

Senior Lady Redskin, Alaina Eck had a huge night, scoring 32 points while Arika Feldman also reached double digits with 14.  Aubrey Olander dominated on the boards, grabbing a dozen rebounds.

As a team, the Lady Redskins pulled down 39 rebounds of which 26 came on off the offensive boards for second chance scoring opportunities.

The Lady Redskins are now 5-0 for the season as they close out the pre-Christmas part of their schedule on Friday hosting Wakefield and then next Tuesday on the road at Herington.
