ELBING – For the first time in 17 days, the top-ranked in Class 1A Division I Little River girls hit the competitive hardwood and never seemed to miss a beat as they dominate Pretty Prairie for a 71-42 win in the Eli J. Walter Tournament hosted by Berean Academy.

 

Now 9-0 for the season, the Little River girls will play host Berean Academy on Thursday.

 

The Lady Redskins doubled up Pretty Prairie 22-11 by the end of the first quarter and held a 14-point, 39-25 advantage as the teams took a halftime break. In the final two quarters it was much the same as the Lady Redskins out scored the Lady Bulldogs 32-17 in the final 16 minutes of play to earn the final 29-point victory.

 

Arika Feldman dominated  the Lady Bulldogs as she nearly had a triple double by leading Little River in scoring with 26 points, swiping 10 steals and grabbing nine rebounds.

 

Alaina Eck dished out a game high eight assists and made five steals while scoring 14 while Aubrey Olander nearly had a double double as well with scoring 10 points and pulling down eight rebounds.

 

Little River dominated in the paint as they grabbed 39 rebounds of which 22 were on the offensive end of the court providing for many second chance scoring opportunities.
