LITTLE RIVER – It was business as usual this week for the Little River girls as they won three games, on the road at Spearville and then at home over Rural Vista and Inman as they move 19-0 for the season and remain ranked number one in Class 1A Division I.
Along the way, senior Alaina Eck crossed the 1,000-career point mark as a Lady Redskin. She also is at 316 steals and 215 assists in her career as well with a few more games yet to play.

Here is a rundown of all three games.
LITTLE RIVER LADY REDSKINS at Spearville on Tuesday
Winning on the road Tuesday, 49-39, over Spearville, the Lady Redskins won despite committing 18 turnovers and being whistled for 15 fouls as the defense stole the ball 14 times and blocked seven shots while gathering a total of 33 rebounds.
Alaina Eck led the team in scoring with 15 points while Kate Ellwood chipped in with 10, Aubrey Olander just missed a double double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Freshman Arika Feldman had a huge game overall as she put eight points on the scoreboard while leading the team in dishing out assists with four, making steals with four and blocking shots with four as well plus tying with Aubrey Olander for the team high in rebounds as she pulled down nine.

LITTLE RIVER LADY REDSKINS hosting Rural Vista on Thursday
At home on Thursday, the Lady Redskins rolled past Rural Vista, winning 71-20 that included starting the game with 23-0 first quarter and holding a 40-7 advantage at the halftime break.
The Little River defense stole 21 balls while only committing six turnovers and committing six fouls.
Arika Feldman led the scoring with 15 while seniors Alaina Eck and Kate Ellwood each had 12. A total of 10 Lady Reskins put at least three points on the scoreboard and 13 players put stats by their name on the stat sheet.

LITTLE RIVER LADY REDSKINS hosting Inman on Friday
In beating Inman of Class 2A, 57-42 to close out the week on Friday, the Lady Reskins had to overcome a stumble in the second quarter when they scored just five points after going up 21-11 in the first quarter, leaving them with just four-point, 26-22, advantage at the halftime break.
Coming out for the third quarter, Little River outscored Inman 20-6 to take a 46-28 lead into the final eight minutes of play as they gained the final 15-point victory.
Again, the Lady Redskins won despite committing 17 turnovers and getting whistled for 23 fouls. They did pull down 42 rebounds of which 25 were on the offensive end, giving them multiple second chance point opportunities.
Freshman Arika Feldman had a monster game as she hit on three-three pointers and poured 28 points into the scorebook while also grabbing eight rebounds and blocking three shots.
Alaina Eck was the only other player to reach double digits with 10, but in doing so went over 1,000 career points in her Lady Redskin career.
Now 19-0 for the season, the Little River girls have just one game, a home court battle with Central Plains on Tuesday, between them and a perfect regular season.
