Earn Pair of Dominating Straight Set Wins

ELYRIA – On Tuesday, the Little River volleyball team rolled into Elyria for a quad with Elyria Christian, Centre and Herington, winning both their matches in dominating fashion.

With the wins, the Lady Redskins are now 19-2 for the season and currently ranked number three in Class 1A Division I for Kansas. They will be back on the competitive court on Saturday, September 30 at the Canton/Galva Invitational.

Facing host Elyria Christian first, the Lady Redskins dominated the straight set win with wins of 25-11 and 25-16.

Leading Little River in the wins were Kate Ellwood who directed it all by dishing out 14 assists and Alaina Eck who recorded 11 kills and made 13 digs. Eleven Lady Redskins made at least one dig in the match and seven recorded at least one kill.

Playing Centre in the second match of the day, the Lady Redskins again dominated the straight set victory with wins of 25-12 and 25-11.

Ellwood again played director of the offense with 16 assists, Alaina Eck recorded another nine kills, Adelynne Strecker made eight digs and both Ashley Stephenson and Aubrey Olander had four blocks.
