LADY BULLPUP SPIKERS WIN PAIR ON TUESDAY

MCPHERSON – On Tuesday, the McPherson volleyball team scored a clean sweep hosting a triangular with Mulvane and Buhler, beating Mulvane in three sets and cleaning up on Buhler in straight sets.

Now 22-7 for the season and ranked third in the west sub-state of Class 4A, the Lady Bullpups head to Garnett, Kansas on Saturday, October 14 for the eight-team, Anderson County Invitational before closing out the regular season by hosting a triangular on Tuesday, October 17 with El Dorado and Wellington.

Against Mulvane, the Lady Bullpups stumbled in the first set and lost 28-30 before bouncing back to win sets two and three, 25-13 and 25-19.

In the second match with Buhler, McPherson won in straight sets 25-20 and 25-16.

Among the leaders of the stats for the night were Alex Romero for dishing out 50 assists, Addison Chapman pounding out 26 digs and Haely Hagemann recording 18 kills. Ava Romero led the team in blocks and service aces, recording five in each.
