LADY TEUTON SPIKERS GO 7-1 LAST WEEK

            INMAN – The top ranked Inman volleyball team finished out the first full week of October by going 7-1 including a pair of match wins over two-time state champion in Class 1A Little River and the loss to Halstead.

            Visiting Moundridge on Tuesday, the Lady Teutons won the first match in straight sets (25-8, 25-18) before needing three sets to close match two (25-12, 20-25, 25-16.

            Among the team leaders on the road were Taylor Froese with 32 assists, 10 digs, and 12 kills while Suttyn Harris recorded 32 kills, 5 Serve aces, 23 digs, and a pair of blocks.

            Hosting the top ranked team in Class 1A Division I, Little River on Thursday, the Lady Teutons rallied from a two-set deficit to win the match 3-2 (23-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-13).

            Taylor Froese dished out 30 assists, Morgan Froese had 10 blocks and Suttyn Harris recorded 25 kills. As a team, Inman had 109 digs of which Adi Alcala had 27, Kenna Woods made 25, and Harris and Taylor Froese punched out 21 and 18, respectively.

            At the Canton/Galva Invitational on Saturday, Inman went 4-1 with the lone loss being to Halstead in three sets (26-24, 21-25, 16-25). Suttyn Harris made 128 kills and had 14 digs while Taylor Froese recorded 17 assists.

            Match one at the invitational, the Lady Teutons pounded Wichita Home School in straight sets (25-12, 25-15) as Taylor Froese dished out 15 assist and Suttyn Harris made 10 kills and 14 digs.

            In a match with host Canton/Galva, Inman won again in straight sets (25-12, 25-8) as Ellie Thimmesch passed out a dozen assists, and Harris made another 10 kills while the Lady Teutons Eagle Transfer Adi Alcala mads nine digs.

            The rematch with Little River two days after going head-to-head with them in five sets, the Lady Teutons won in straight sets (25-18, 25-18) as Harris had a dozen kills, Alcala made 11 digs and Thimmesch dished out 10 assists.

            The fourth match of the day came against Goessel where Inman  won again in straight sets (25-12, 25-12).
