LADY TEUTONS GOES  6-1 IN 7 MATCHES

            INMAN  - The Inman volleyball team lost for the first time in the 2024 season but won six other games between the Haven Invitational on Saturday and a home triangular on Tuesday.

            Now sitting 15-1 for the season, the Lady Teutons are currently ranked #1 in Class 2A heading into the seven matches.

            On Saturday, Inman began the  Haven Invitational playing Cheney, who is ranked fifth in Class 3A, and  suffered their first loss of the season in a three-set match. The Lady Teutons lost both sets one and three 20-25 while winning an overtime set two, 28-26.

            All-Stater Suttyn Harris set the pace in the loss by leading the team in kills with 17 and digs with a dozen while Taylor Froese handed out 22 assists.

            The Lady Teutons bounced back with a pair of five-point wins over Garden Plain (25-20, 25-20) as Taylor Froese passed out another nine assists and Harris recorded eight more kills.

            Haven took Inman to three sets in the third match at Haven, as they defeated the Lady Teutons 23-25 in the first set before Inman  dug in and humbled them 25-14, 25-10 in the final two sets to get the 3-1 win.

            Harris had 12 kills, Taylor Froese made another 15 assists and Brooke Aden recorded five blocks against Haven.

            The Lady Teutons then breezed past Hutchinson Trinity in straight sets (25-17, 25-14) as Taylor Forese handed out 13 assists and made five service aces to lead the team to the win.

            Playing Kingman in the final match of the Haven Invitational, the Lady Teutons scored a straight set win (25-20, 25-18) as Harris had eight kills, Adi Alcala made seven digs to lead Inman to the win.

            On Tuesday at the home court triangular, the Lady Teutons started off with a 25-12, 25-13 drubbing of Bennington as Harris made 14 kills, Taylor Froese handed out eight assists and Kenna Woods punched out 13 digs in the win.

            In the back half of the triangular, Inman fought hard for a straight set win over Benning (26-24, 25-18) as Taylor Froese had 11 assists, Adi Alcala made 20 digs and Kenna Woods recorded nine kills.
