TEUTONS OUT GUN BENNINGTON 47-14

            BENNINGTON – On Friday, the Inman football team improved their season mark to 4-3 with a dominating 47-14 win on the road at Bennington.

 

            With the win, the Teutons now prep to close out the 2024 regular season schedule hosting county rival Moundridge on Friday. The Wildcats will enter the game unbeaten at 6-0.

 

            Bennington thrilled the home crown with an early lead of 6-0 before the Teutons put three scores on the board in the first quarter as Korbyn McClellan took a 52-yard pass play from Caleb Bigler to the end zone before running for a pair of scores from six and twenty-six yards out.

           

            After McClellan scored his fourth touchdown of the game in the second quarter on a 58yard run, Malachi Brunk dove in for a score from three yards to give Inman a commanding 33-6 halftime lead.

           

            Bennington put points on the board in the third quarter between a couple of short runs for touchdowns from Sebastian Martinez and Braxton Malloy, giving Inman the final 33-point victory.

 

            Inman ran 53 offensive plays and racked up 462 yards, including 262 passing with 200 on the ground. The Teutons went three-for-six on third downs and recorded 23 first downs.

 

            Individually, Bigler completed 11-of-17 for 252 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Malachi Brunk and Korbyn McClellan each ran for 10 times with Brunk covering 78 yards and McClellan covering 69. McClellan finished the game with 237 total yards as he also caught five passes and covered 168 yards.

 

            Defensively, Inman held Bennington to just 143 yards on 48 snaps, including a minus-50 yards running the ball. Cooper Wiens recorded 10 tackles, Brunk had seven and both McClellan and Dylan Larson each had five.
