ELYRIA TRACK/FIELD RUN/JUMP/THROW AT FAIRFIELD

Robertson, Neufeldt,  & Cass  Each Earn 2 Golds!!

FAIRFIELD – On Tuesday at the six-team Fairfield Invitational, the Elyria Christian girls, and boys track/field teams both finished second as Kenna Cass and Blake Robertson each earned a pair of first-place medals.

For the Lady Eagles, the team finished with 98 points, putting them second behind first-place Fairfield/Langdon with 120. Burrton at 82 was third while Sedgwick, Canton/Galva, and Peabody/Burns rounded out the six-team field.

Kenna Cass won a pair of first-place medals in winning both the discus and shot put while the team swept the distance runs with Macy Reiff winning the 3,200 meters, Joy Beck took first in the 1,600 meters and Laney Reiff won the 800 meters. Londyn Olsen joined the Reiff sisters and Beck to bring home a first-place medal in the 4x800 meter relay while Hannah Bower scored first in the high jump.

The Eagle boys also finished second in the team standings as they scored 92 points, behind Fairfield/Langdon with 116.

Emmitt Neufeldt in the 800- and 1,600-meters plus Blake Robertson in both the shot put and discus won a pair of first-place medals while Neufeldt almost had three as he finished second in the high jump.
