Dismantle Peabody/Burns and Rural Vista

PEABODY – Tuesday, the Elyria Christian volleyball team traveled to Peabody for a triangular with Peabody/Burns and Rural Vista where they rang up a pair of straight set wins.

Against host Peabody/Burns, the Lady Eagles dominated both sets (25-16 / 25-7) to earn the victory.

Laney Reiff led the Lady Eagles in assists with 10 and kills with three while Macy Reiff pounded out eight digs and Brooke Davidson made six kills.

In the second match of the day with Rural Vista, Elyria hammered their way to a straight set sweep as well (25-15 / 25-14) with Laney Reiff leading the team in assists with eight, blocks with two and digs with six. Addison Swenson also recorded six digs and Julia Allen made four kills.

In a junior varsity match with Rural Vista, the Lady Eagles junior varsity lost 22-25 and 16-25.

Now 19-8 for the season, the Lady Eagles will be at Lost Springs for their Class 1A Division II sub-state hosted by Centre on Saturday, October 21.
