BEAT WAKEFIELD / LOSE TO SOLOMON

WAKEFIELD – On Tuesday, the Elyria Christian volleyball team traveled north to Wakefield where they competed with host Wakefield and Solomon in a triangular which the Lady Eagles won a match and lost a match.

After winning 25=12 in the first set of the evening with Solomon, the Lady Eagles then dropped two sets, 25-27 and 20-25, to lose the match 1-2.

Laney Reiff directed the offense with 13 assists while Julia Allen pounded out 23 digs. Also reaching double digits in digs, the team recorded 83, were Raegan Broadhus with 14, Macy Reiff with 13, Joy Glendening with 13 and Laney Reiff with 10. Addison Swenson just missed with nine, though she did top the team in kills with 6.

Closing out the day against host Wakefield, the Lady Eagles won easily in straight sets, 25-10 and 25-13.

Raegan Broadhus led the team in digs with 16, Laney Reiff dished out another 15 assists, and Macy Reiff led in kills with nine.

Now 11-4 on the season and ranked 12th in the latest maxpreps.com rankings for Class 1A Division I, the Lady Eagles will be back on the court on Thursday when they play host to Canton/Galva and Burrton.
