Lose Big at Goessel Bluebird Classic

GOESSEL – On Tuesday, the Elyria Christian girls were throttled early by Little River and never recovered as they took a whopping 61-point, 15-76 loss.

Little River jumped out to a 17-6 lad by the end of the first quarter and held a 33-point, 10-43 advantage at the halftime break. Elyria’s offense continued to be stymied and were outscored another 5-33 in the final two quarters.

Elyria’s offense never got untracked as they shot just 23% overall from the field, including just 25% from inside the three-point line. The Lady Eagles were out rebounded 11-30 and committed 31 turnovers.

Julia Allen led Elyria in scoring with six and Grace Prescott had four.

Now 0-3 on the young season, the Lady Eagles will finish up at the Goessel Bluebird Classic on Friday playing host Goessel.
