ELYRIA FINISHES 2ND & 4th AT PEABODY/BURNS

Laney Reiff  wins  3 1st Place Medals

PEABODY – Laney Reiff had a huge day on the track for Elyria Christian on Tuesday as they traveled to the six-tam Peabody/Burns meet and finished second with the Lady Eagles and third for the Eagle boys.

While they did score 73 team points, the Lady Eagles finished second, well behind meet champion Little River with 117. Sedgwick, Canton/Galva, Langdon/Fairfield, and Peabody/Burns rounded  out the six team meet.

Laney Reiff dominated the distance runs by winning the 800-, 1,600-, and 3,200-meters while Kenna Cass in the discus, Hannah Bower in the high Jump, and Brooke Davidson in the shot put each scored wins in field events.

Led by a win in the 800 meters by Ty Romero and a champion at 1,600 meters with Emmitt Neufeldt, the Eagle boys placed fourth in the team standings with 33 points.

Neufeldt also ran second in the 3,200 meters and Romero  placed third in the high jump.
