Robertson hits 7 three-pointers

GOESSEL – The Elyria Christian boys earned a huge win on Tuesday at the Goessel Bluebird Classic when they rolled past Little River for a 36-point, 61-25 win.

The Eagles jumped all over Little River in the first quarter, racing out to an 18-0 lead before putting another 18 points on the board in the second quarter while holding Little River to just nine points, giving them a 27-point, 36-9 advantage at the halftime break.

Elyria did not let up until the final quarter, outscoring Little River 16-11 in the third and 9-5 in the fourth to reach the final 36-point victory.

Alex Robertson led the Eagles in scoring with 23 points which included hitting seven three-pointers. Ty Romero also reached double digits with 18. No other team or individual stats were available.

Elyria, now 2-1 on the season, will close out their play at the Goessel Bluebird Classic on Friday when they tangle with host Goessel.
