EAGLES HOST MEET AT GOESSEL

Dietrich & Barnett Earn Gold

GOESSEL – On Tuesday, the Canton/Galva track/field teams hosted a meet that was run at Goessel where the Eagle boys finished fifth and the Lady Eagles placed fourth with two individuals winning gold medals.

For the Lady Eagles, Londyn Dietrich jumped 39’ 7.5 “ in taking first in the triple jump.

Othe top finishes for the Lady Eagles came in the 4x100 meter relay where Dietrich, Jordyn Elliot, Makinlee Hoppes, and Trinity Espinoza ran third, while Elliot placed second in the 100 meters and Hoppes finished second in the 300 meter hurdles. Honesty Williams gained third in the 400 meters and Grundt Sanja finished third in the discus.

For the Eagle boys, Jayden Barnett powered  his way to a jump of 18’ 10” in the long jump which was good for first. Jaden Ediger ran third in both the 100- and 200-meters as well.
