CKYRA LIST EVENT AND ALL-AROUND LEADERS FOR 2023

44 Place in Top-5 of an Event

CANTON – The 2023 season is over for the Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association and they have released the listings of both event leaders as well as all-around leaders where 44 McPherson County rodeo youth placed in the top five overall in an event with four earning first-place for an event.

Along with the event leaders, three County youth won all-around titles for their division while three finished second in all-around.

In the All-Around leader boards, Korbin Hogg of Canton rolled up 361 points to take first among the boys in the 2nd-to-4th grade Girls Division while Levi Henry of Canton took first in the 5th-to-8th grade Boys Division with 199 points and Keaton Ryan, also from Canton, won All-Around in the 9th-to-12th grade Boys Division by scoring 218 points.

Korbin Hogg finished out the season with a top-five finish in six events including a second place in the Pole Bending and Keaton Ryan placed in the top five of four events while being top in points for Chute Dogging.

Not only did Levi Henry win the All-Around trophy he also took first in both the individual events for the season in Breakaway and Goats/Boys.

Finishing second in All-Around scoring were Ansleigh Hogg of Canton in the 0-1 grade Girls Division Kaylee Rafaelson in the 5th-to-8th grade Girls Division and Lakyn Allenbach in the 9th-to-12th grade Girls Division.

In addition to taking second all-around, Rafaelsen took first in both the Pole Bending and Goats/Girls competition for the season while Lakyn Allenbach took top place in both the Goat Tying and Pole Bending on the event leaderboard for the season.

The final breakdown for the 0-1 grade division, McPherson County youth had just two top five finishers in events with both coming from Ansleigh Hogg of Canton for Pole Bending and Sheep Riding.

Twelve County youth placed in the top-five of an event for the season when competing for the 2nd-to-4th grade Division. Besides the exploits of Korbin Hogg previously mentioned, Addalaya Cathey of Canton placed second in Goats/Girls, an event where local rodeo youth finished with three of the top five just as they did in Pole Bending as well.

For the Division of 5th-to-8th grade, 16 area youth placed in the top five of an event for the 2023 season, including a placing of second through fifth by area youth in Barrel Racing and three of the top four in Pole Bending.

Within the fourteen area youth that finished in the top five of an event at the 9th-to-12th grade Division, they placed three in the top five of Chute Dogging, Goat Tying and Pole Bending.
