LITTLE RIVER – The Canton/Galva volleyball team closed out its 2023 season on Saturday at Little River for the Class 1A Division I sub-state tournament where they split a pair of games.
With the split, the Lady Eagles conclude the season at 15-20.
In their first match against LaCrosse, the Lady Eagles scored a straight set win (25-17/25-13), before losing in their second match against defending state champion and substate host Little River (13-25/13-25).
Junior Raegan Hawkinson concluded her season by leading the Lady Eagles in blocks with two, digs for punching out 16, and kills by recording 11 plus getting a pair of service aces.
Adi Alcala led Canton/Galva in directing the offense where she dished out 26 assists while scoring on a team high four service aces. Trinity Espinoza and Jayden Orth each chipped in with 13 digs while Espinoza also had three service aces.
