PEABODY – It was a powerful strong showing on Friday on the road for the Canton/Galva girls as they took down Peabody/Burns with a 57-7 win.

Riding a four-game win streak, the Lady Eagles are now sitting at 11-4 for the season as they  prep for a busy week ahead as they take to the road on Tuesday to face the top team in Class 1A Division I, the unbeaten Little River Lady Redskins before working in a weather make-up game on Thursday at Goessel and then finishing up on Friday by hosting Rural Vista.

After the Lady Eagles took a 10-point, 12-2, lead at the end of the first quarter they poured 21 points in the scorebook in the second quarter and held a commanding 33-3 advantage at the halftime break.

Thanks to Trinity Espinoza scoring 10 points, Canton/Galva put another 20 points on the scoreboard in the third quarter as they cruised in for the final 50-point victory.
