MCMANNIS WINS AGAIN!!

MARION – on Thursday, the Canton/Galva cross country team ran at the Marion Invitational and came home with an individual championship and four individual medals.
Faith McMannis, for the second race in a row, dominated the 5K Junior Varsity girls’ race, winning the event in a time of 24:17.00, nearly a full minute ahead of the second-place time of 25:08.00.
Also running for the Eagles in the 5K Junior Varsity girls’ race was Honesty Williams and she medaled by placing eighth with a run of 27:46.00.
Jaycob Dieker, running in the 5K varsity boys’ race, medaled with a sixteenth-place time of 19:26.00. Senior Garrett Silsby finished thirty-sixth in the same race with a time of 21:12.00.
Aaron Long was the fourth Eagle medalist as he placed thirteenth in the boys Junior Varsity run with a time of 21:35.00 while Corbin Parson finished twenty-first with a time of 23:04.00, just missing a medal.
The Eagle harriers have just two meets before state regionals, those being on Thursday, October 3 at the Berean Academy Invitational and on Thursday, October 10 at the Goessel Invitational.

BOYS 5K JUNIOR VARSITY (44 runners) = 13. Aaron Long – 21:35.00; 21. Corbin Parsons – 23:04.00.
BOYS 5K VARSITY (46 runners) = 16. Jaycob Dieker – 19:26.00; 34. Garrett Silsby – 21:12.00.
