MCMANNIS WINS JV RUN AT HERINGTON

HERINGTON – On Thursday, the Canton/Galva cross country team went to the Herington Invitational where Faith McMannis ran a season best in winning the junior varsity girls division and three of the four Eagle boys running managed to medal.
McMannis was the only Lady Eagle running and she put 14:15.80 on a time for the two-mile run to win the junior varsity race.
Aaron Long finished seventh and Everett Schmidt ran tenth in the junior varsity boys run while Jaycob Dieker finished twelfth in the boys’ varsity race.
Next up for the Eagle Harriers will be on Thursday, September 26 at the Marion Invitational.

LADY EAGLE JUNIOR VARSITY (2-Mile run) = 1. Faith McMannis – 14:15.80 (season best).
EAGLE BOY’S VARSITY (2-Mile Run) = 12. Jaycob Dieker – 11:49.64 (season best); 24. Garrett Silsby – 12:44.12 (season best).
EAGLE BOY’S JUNIOR VARSITY (2-Mile Run) = 7. Aaron Long – 13:35.94 (season best); 10. Everett Schmidt – 13:51.99 (season best).
