PEABODY – On Friday, the Canton/Galva boys went on the road to Peabody/Burns and overcame a slow start to power their way to a decisive 73-40 win.
Now 7-8 for the season, the Eagles have a busy week ahead with a game Tuesday with Little River, on the road Thursday at Goessel in a weather make-up game plus hosting Rural Vista on Friday.
After falling behind 9-14 at the end of the first quarter, the Eagles put 22 points on the scoreboard in the second quarter to take an eight-point, 31-23, lead into the halftime break.
Coming out of the intermission, Canton/Galva put another 29 points in the scorebook to take a commanding 60-36 lead into the final eight minutes of play where they closed out the final 33-point victory.
Wyatt Collins nailed five three pointers in the game on his way to a game high 31 points. Jory Ratzlaff chipped in with 10 and Kustom Schamp had eight.
