Lose to Little River, Beat Herington

LITTLE RIVER – Going on the road to close out the regular season, the Canton/Galva volleyball team was humbled in match one by powerhouse Little River before bouncing back and winning a hard fought, close second match with Herington.
Against Little River, the Lady Eagles went down in straight sets (11-25 / 11-25) as Adi Alcala managed just nine assists and Trinity Espinoza only had four kills and seven digs in the match.
Powering back in match two with Herington, the Lady Eagles scored a pair of close wins, taking set one by just two points at 25-23 before closing it out with a three-point victory in set two 25-22.
Adi Alcala dished out 16 assists while tying with Raegan Hawkinson for the team high in digs with nine. Eight Lady Eagles recorded at least a pair of digs in the match.
After finishing the season with a 14-14 record, the Lady Eagles will now prep for a power filled substate on Saturday, October 21 at Little River.
