WAKEFIELD – The Canton/Galva boys closed out their pre-Christmas schedule with a decisive 69-22 pounding of Wakefield on the road Tuesday.

 

With the win the Eagles are now 5-3 and will return to competitive play on Friday, January 5 when they play host to Elyria Christian.

 

The Eagles took a nine-point, 14-5 first quarter lead and turned it into a 24-point lead at 34-10 going into the halftime break. Coming out of the break they put another 25 points on the board while holding Wakefield to just seven putting them up 59-17 going into the final eight minutes of play where they cruised in for the final 47-point victory.

 

Twelve Eagles put at least a pair of points in the scorebook with Kustom Schamp leading the way with nine while Jase Beltz, Lane McMannis, Ross Burrill, and Jaden Ediger each chipped in with seven. Beltz and Jaxon Nightingale each connected on a pair of three- pointers.
