MARION – On Monday, the Canton/Galva boys began a busy week of three games with a road trip to Marion where they let a first half lead slip away and lost by 10, 53-63.

 

After being down by five, 13-18, at the end of the first quarter, the Eagles bounced back and outscored Marion 22-15 in the second quarter to take a two-point, 35-33 advantage going into the halftime break. After Marion pulled ahead by four, 47-51 by the end of the third quarter, Canton/Galva was unable to regain the lead which ended up with the 10-point loss.

 

Leading the Eagles in scoring was Wyatt Collins who hit for 21 points, including a pair of threes’ while Jaden Ediger connected on three pointers to finish in double digits as well with 11.

 

The Eagles were scheduled to play at Lyons on Tuesday and then return home Friday to play host to Centre. They finish out their pre-Christmas schedule on Tuesday, December 19 on the road at Wakefield.
