Beltz Tops Scoring with 15

LYONS – On Tuesday, the Canton/Galva boys hit the road for the second day in a row and fell to Lyons by eight, 48-56.
The Eagles started the game by taking a one-point, 12-11 lead over Lyons at the end of the first quarter and held a seven point, 29-22 advantage when the teams went to the halftime break.
Coming out of the break, Lyons tied the game up at 38-38 by the end of the third quarter and outscored Canton/Galva 18-10 in the final eight minutes of play to hand the Eagles the loss.
Jas Beltz connected on five three pointers to lead Canton/Galva in scoring with 15 while the Collins brothers, Wyatt and Noah also reached double digits with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Wyatt Collins made three three-pointers in the game.
The Eagles now drop to an even 3-3 for the season as they look to close out the pre-Christmas part of the schedule with a couple of wins when they tangle with visiting Centre at home on Friday and then go on the road to Wakefield next Tuesday, December 19.
