By Staff

INMAN – Despite running more offensive plays, the Inman football team gave up several big runs which cost them a win as Conway Springs came to town and beat the Teutons 37-8.

Now 2-5 for the season, the Teutons will close out the regular season schedule on Friday, October 20 with a road trip to Medicine Lodge. Medicine Lodge is 4-2 after scoring a two-point, 16-14-win Friday over Hutchinson Trinity.

Against Conway Springs, Inman ran 54 offensive plays to just 39 for the visitors but were outgained 389-195, much due to 48-, 90-, and 65-yard scoring runs the Cardinals had in the game.

Inman finally reached the end zone late in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard run by Kellen Schrag.

The Teuton offense rang up 166 yards rushing to just 29 passing led by Schrag who ran for 86 yards on a dozen carries and Talon Welch who picked up 61 on 17 totes.
