AREA RODEO ATHLETE RIDE HIGH THROUGH JULY

Among the athletes participating in the six rodeo events so far this summer with the Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association one will find four McPherson County athletes topping their division for all-around leaders while nine also hold the top spot for event leaders through July 12.

Among the four all-around leaders, all from Canton, are Wesley Prieb in the 9-12 Boys Division, Korbin Hogg in the 5-8 Girls Division, Ansleigh Hogg in the 2-4 Girls Division and Hayden Hogg in the 0-1 Girls Division.

Prieb also holds the top spot for both Chute Dogging and Tiedown Roping through six rodeo events in the 9-12 Division while Baylee Hall of Inman is the event leader for Pole Bending.

In the 5-8 Division Kinley Clinkscale of Canton is leading in both Pole Bending and Barrel Racing while Jovey Henry of Canton leads Goats (Girls).

Ansleigh Hogg is leading Goats (Girls) for the 2-4 Division while Hayden Hogg tops in Sheep Riding for the 0-1 Division.

The CKYRA has one more two rodeo weekend scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9 before holding the 2026 season finals on Saturday and Sunday, August 15-16.
