44-2 FOR SEASON
LITTLE RIVER – The Little River volleyball has become legendary in recent times as they have dominated Class 1A Division I Kansas volleyball by winning four straight state championships.
Finishing the 2025 season with 28 straight win and 44-2 overall, the Lady Redskins dominated all five matches at the Class 1A Division I state championship tournament in Dodge City two weekend ago, winning all five matches in straight set by an average score of 25-10.4. The only two losses in 2025 came on the court playing Class 3A, unbeaten state champion Ellinwood, while only Inman, Ellinwood, Halstead and St. John/Hudson took the Lady Redskins to three sets in a match.
Beginning in 2021 when Little River finished fourth at the state tournament, and after winning the last four state championships, they have been averaging 39.4 wins and just 4.0 losses per season, going 34-6 in 2021, 39-4 in 2022 (state champions), 41-2 in 2023 (state champions), 39-6 in 2024 (state champions) and of course 44-2 in 2025 while winning the fourth straight championship.
At the State Tournament in 2025 the Lady Redskins defeated Frankfort, Goessel and Centralia in pool play on Friday. In beathing Frankfort, 25-15, 25-17, Little River was led by Saelyn Raleigh and Arika Feldman with 10 kills each, Adelynne Strecker had 10 digs and Evie Look recorded 14 assists while Feldman had 13.
Against Goessel, Little River dominated again 25-15, 25-13, beating them for the third time this season. Feldman and Raleigh each had eight kills, Strecker scored nine digs and Look pounded out 13 assists.
Winning their pool play with a dominating straight set win (25-14, 25-8) over Centralia, the Lady Redskins were led by Raleigh and Feldman who made ten and nine kills, respectively while Strecker had nine digs and Look made 10 assists.
Matched up with Quinter in the state semi-finals on Saturday, November 1, Little River absolutely dominated the match by winning 25-6, 25-16 as Havana Olander scored eight kills, Strecker made another 13 digs and Feldman added 13 assists.
Playing Centralia for the second time in two days, this time for the state championship trophy, Little River dominated again with a straight set win 25-12, 25-17. Raleigh scored 10 kills, Strecker had 10 digs, and Look made 11 assists.
Four Little River players made the All-Tournament team – Saelyn Raleigh, Havana Olander, Adelynne Strecker, and Arika Feldman. Each were named for the second straight tournament.
For the season, senior’s Arika Feldman, Havana Olander, Adelynne Strecker and Evie Look along with junior Saelyn Raleigh made All-Wheat State League mention with senior Lucy Wright getting a nod for honorable mention. Little River head coach Kim Rolfs was named co-coach of the year as well.
As the season closes, Little River recorded a total of 1,317 kills, 176 blocks, 1,229 assists, 269 service aces, and 1,455 digs for the 2025 season. Saelyn Raleigh, just a junior, led the team in kills with 361 and service aces with 66. Seniors Arika Feldman recorded 85 blocks, Adelynne Strecker had 472 digs and Evie Look made 564 assists.
The Lady Redskins will graduate including Arika Feldman, Havana Olander, Evie Look, Adelynne Strecker, and Lucy Wright, all of whom put up impressive numbers in their Little River careers.
