23 AREA RUNNERS COMPETE AT BEREAN INVITATIONAL

ELYRIA’S REIFF WIN GIRLS DIVISION

ELBING – On Thursday, 23 cross country runners from Canton/Galva, Inman, Little River, Moundridge and Elyria Christian ran in the Berean Academy Invitational run at Harvey County Park East.

Elyria Christian’s Laney Reiff, just a sophomore, won the girls division with a time of 20:18.91while Haylee Jantz of Moundridge, Joy Beck of Elyria Christian, Addison Wedel of Inman and Macy Reiff of Elyria Christian all finished in the top 20 with all but Macy Reiff being just sophomores.

Honesty Williams of Canton/Galva placed sixth in the girls junior varsity run as well.

In the boys division, Moundridge freshman Dan Kuder ran an 18:00.77 which was good for second among 60 runners. The Wildcat boys team finished fourth in the team standings behind Berean Academy, Augusta, and Hesston.

Inman’s Tyler Martisko and Riley Roots finished in the top-ten as well with Martisko running fourth and Roots finishing seventh.

Little River’s Brady Obley just missed a top-ten finish as he placed eleventh and the Elyria Christian boys had four runner competing with Emmitt Neufeldt finished twenty-sixth having the highest placing.
